You arrive at the location of 46, Emerald Street. The
control room have supplied you with the background
information you require.
Scenario: A call was received via 999 to the Hanthorpe
Control Room at 0830hours. A caller had concerns regarding
her next - door neighbour. On the preceding night there
were sounds of loud music and raised angry voices, both
male and female. The caller was not sure if it was a party
or a domestic situation, but a number of neighbours in the
road had discussed the disturbance whilst stood at their
doorsteps. In addition, a local dog walker had seen what
appeared to have been a struggle between the occupants,
through the window as he passed, which he also mentioned
to the caller.
The situation seemed to settle, but in the early hours of
this morning, the music started again. Normally this
neighbour leaves for work every day at 0800hrs, but today
there is no sign of the occupant and this is very unusual.
The caller states that the back door is wide open, but she
is too scared to check on the property and asks whether
the police can assist to check on the welfare of the
occupant.
Officers attended the property by 0850hrs. The caller
greeted the officers and explained the situation again.
Upon entering the property, the officers noticed a female
laying on the floor, with visible injuries to her head.
The officers checked on the female but the occupant was
deceased. Officers asked for both the coroner and the
CSI's to attend the location.
